Your questions about our products.

WILL MY PLANT LOOK LIKE THE PICTURE?

Plants are living beings and what they look like can vary from day to day. However, your plant will always be about the same size, with the same pot size and have about the same number of leaves as the plant in the photo. But your new beauty will always be one of a kind! Nice, isn't it?

Will my pot look like the picture?

Our pots are handmade so each pot is unique! However, the differences are not very big, so don't worry.

WHAT IS THE MPS SUSTAINABILITY SCORE?

You can here find more information about the standards that Dau adheres to in order to offer you only sustainable products.

HOW DO I BEST WATER MY PLANT?

It is best to water (almost all plants) from above until the water runs out from the bottom of the holes in your pot. Then you know he's had enough. Plants that you had forgotten for a while (we don't judge) and that are very dry, may want to leave their pot in the water for an hour afterwards. This way they have plenty of time to drink enough.

Delivery and return

Below we answer all your questions about delivery and returns.

Can I return my order?

You can return your order free of charge up to 14 days after arrival.

Food and potting soil can only be returned unopened. For all products, the general guideline is that you can only return them if you have treated them in the same way as you would in a physical store.

If an item arrives damaged at your home, the full amount will be refunded. will be refunded to your account and we will pay the return costs.

How do you ensure that products arrive in good condition?

It goes without saying that we pack every product with the necessary care and attention. In doing so, we take into account both the protection factor and sustainability. Curious how? For example, your pots are packed in paper bubble wrap!

The plants are packed in such a way that they cannot slide, that their leaves are protected and that the potting soil does not fly around. This is how the plant arrives radiant for your first introduction (but feel free to keep jogging yourself).

If an item does arrive damaged, the full amount will be refunded to your account and we will pay the return costs.

How long does it take for my package to arrive?

You can expect this within 2-3 business days of your order.

Can I change my order after payment?

That's possible! Then it's best to send us a message and we'll solve it together.

WHAT DO I DO IF I WANT TO MAKE A LARGE PURCHASE, SUCH AS MULTIPLE BUNDLES OR MANY LARGE PLANTS?

You can still place your order via the webshop. If we receive a large purchase, we will personally contact you to review the delivery.

Do you ship your plants in plastic pots?

Yes, this is currently the best possible solution for our plants. However, we are always looking for new solutions.

We also advise you to be creative with the jars. An empty pot is just a place waiting for a cutting: you can keep it for yourself or give it to friends. You can also make ideal use of the different sizes of these pots when you repot your plants, so that everything can move up a size. Finally, the jars can also be used in creative DIYs.

If you throw away the jars, we kindly ask you to always recycle them.

What after receipt?

Do you have any questions about your plant after it has arrived?

Do I need to repot my plant after receiving it?

No, this is not necessary. Take a look in your Dau-Herbarium to find out how often this plant normally needs to be repotted and start counting from today. Your plant is perfectly happy in its plastic pot and the holes at the bottom allow you to water it optimally.

Do I need to water my plant after receiving it?

Feel the potting soil with your finger. Is the top still wet? Then wait a while before watering and follow the water guidelines on your Dau-Herbarium. If the soil feels dry, feel free to give it a sip!

Do I need to feed my plant after receiving it?

No, your plant's potting soil already contains nutrients. So your plant will certainly be good for the first month, depending on its nutritional needs (check your Dau-Herbarium for this).

Plant care

HELP how do I care for such a plant?

My plant is not looking good. What now?

Don't panic. A plant is a living creature and sometimes things go a little less. Place your plant in a lighter environment, cut away damaged parts and water sparingly. Brown spots, yellow leaves and even the occasional bugs on your plants are completely normal! If your plant has a specific problem, our blog (and the rest of the internet) is ready to help.

What is the best way to water my plant?

It is best to water (almost all plants) from above until the water runs out from the bottom of the holes in your pot. Then you know he's had enough. Plants that you had forgotten for a while (we don't judge) and that are very dry, may want to leave their pot in the water for an hour afterwards. This way they have plenty of time to drink enough.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SMALL, MEDIUM OR BIG THIRST?

All well and good, but how do I know when my plant is thirsty? You know that by feeling! A plant that is not very thirsty can dry out almost completely. Is your pot very light? Then it's probably time! Plants with average thirst are allowed to dry out by up to 50%. Stick your finger in the soil (or use a water meter), do you feel wetness before you reach the center of the pot? Then it is best to wait a while before watering again. Plants that are very thirsty should only be allowed to dry out a few centimeters. Feel with your finger whether the soil is still wet on the surface, then it is best to wait a while before pouring. Once the first 10-20% of the top soil is dry, it's time for a sip!
